What Is The Bible Nexus?
First let’s define the term “Nexus.” A Nexus is a converging point of people, places, and events. It is a sphere where certain things and matters meet. The Bible Nexus is where history, geography and theology meet, with the purpose to fortify our faith in the living God. To pursue this goal the Bible Nexus is a resource center consisting of dynamic teaching videos, podcasts, and resources, to take us into this nexus of truth.
The true and living God is the God of time and space, of history and geography. Therefore, through exploring the Bible Nexus you will be taken into the times and dates of His acting in and through history. Since the Scriptures are true history, this entails the people and events therein occurred at actual places we can experience and document even today. Stepping into the very places where God acted in special ways causes us to uncover layers of truths and insights pertaining to God and His purposes.
All of these matters are connected to the overarching true story of the Scriptures. Therefore, as we explore Biblical times, seasons, and sites, we will be immersed in the glorious story of Scripture which focuses on the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth. Both the Old and New Testament are saturated with the testimony of the One we now confess as the Lord Jesus. The promises, places, and events of Biblical history teach us about God’s purpose of redemption and judgment through His Son. And the more we are immersed in the Scriptural contexts of history and geography, the more we will emerge with newfound theological convictions that will lead to faithful in service to the King.
